Castings Technology is delighted to announce the appointment of Shaun Smith as their Commercial Director.  Shaun takes over this role at an exciting time for Castings Technology.  Shaun brings with him expertise in both a wide range of metals and their application.  Shaun will be instrumental in spearheading new market opportunities.

He started his career as an apprenticeship at Centaur Precision in Sheffield where he gained an extensive understanding of the investment casting process. Covering Aerospace, Orthopaedic and Automotive he worked as both Product and Process Engineer gaining ONC and HNC in Mechanical and Materials engineering. Following this he has expanded further his foundry expertise within Superalloys, Orthopaedics, Centrispun and Turbine wheel castings. With Cummins, China he spent 3 years setting up the world-renowned Wuxi Vane Wheel foundry.

Prior to joining Castings Technology, he was Deputy Director and Director for RemetUK and Remet China respectively helping Remet to grow substantially in Europe and Asia.
