When Adam Gascoigne started his apprenticeship with Castings Technology International Ltd, he had no idea he’d go on to win a prestigious national award.

The awards ceremony for the 2025 Metals Industry Apprentice of the Year was held in London at the end of May and Adam was the winner of the coveted Craft Apprentice of the Year Award, which also came with a cash prize.

Adam was nominated for the award by his employer, Ryan Longden, Chief Operating Officer at Castings Technology, and was shortlisted to deliver a presentation to the judging panel.

“We are delighted to celebrate Adam as the winner of the Craft Skills Apprentice of the Year category.  For over 25 years this prestigious award has recognised and encourage excellent in hands-on engineering, metallurgy, and manufacturing skills.
